INTRODUCTION:

A bird strike is defined as a collision between a bird and an aircraft which is in flight or landing roll. The term is often expanded to cover other wildlife strikes - with bats or ground animals.

Bird strikes are common, and they can be a significant threat to aircraft safety. For smaller aircrafts, significant damage may be caused to the aircraft structure. Jet-engined aircrafts are extremely vulnerable to the loss of thrust, which can follow the ingestion of birds into engine air intakes. This has resulted in a number of fatal accidents.

The data contains records of US flights between 2019-01-01 and 2021-12-31 where the plane has been struck by a bird while in flight.

PROBELM STATEMENT:

Prepare a Dashboard that can help aviation authorities analyze the impact of bird strikes across different measures of intensity such as loss of human life, cost etc., and across different dimensions (e.g., location, time, etc.).
